MESSAGE FROM COACH JASON!

His hotmail account is not working…he can read but not respond to emails. Let me know if I can help….from Laurel

Good afternoon, TBAY Families,

Practice today is cancelled. The pool pumps have not been repaired at Tampa Prep and the water quality is not sufficient for practice. I have spent much of the day yesterday and today on the phone trying to make arrangements for practice at another pool, but have not yet been able to make arrangements.

If there is another TBAY branch with practice close to home, please take advantage of it. You can find schedules at

As you well know, we are struggling with pool mechanics at Tampa Prep. There are two pumps, and neither one is fully functional. We have worked closely with the maintenance manager at the pool, who is fully committed to returning the pool to normal operations. Our frustration now is with parts – we are having a hard time getting replacement parts for the broken pumps. Sounds like a relatively simple problem, but it has grown very complex.

Meanwhile, the water quality and temperature has fluctuated. I have two priorities as head coach: one is to provide the best workouts possible for your swimmers, but more importantly, I have to be sure they will be safe. When the water quality is unsuitable or temperature too low because the pumps are not working, I cannot put your kids in the water.

Every day we have held out hope that “today” would be the day that the pool was fully repaired. Unfortunately that day has not yet come. Needless to say, your patience and support are appreciated. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this causes. I had hoped to email you earlier today, but have held off to try to make other arrangements. For tomorrow’s plans, please watch your email and I will try to get the word out earlier in the day.

Hope this helps!
