O'Neill Named Pinellas County "Coach of the Year"

Postby TBAY on Wed Nov 28, 2007 8:52 am

The Countryside Cougars lost a few stars to graduation and had other swimmers battle injuries. Nevertheless, Countryside remained the county’s top girls team. Much of that credit goes to Ian O’Neill, who put his swimmers in position to win.

Girls All-County (Pinellas):

First Team: 100 free: Rachel Burns, Jr., Countryside, seventh at state, 100 back: 200 free relay: Countryside, fifth at state (Emily Hall, Courtney Grace, Rachel Burns, Kelly Grace), 400 free relay: Countryside, fifth at state, (Burns, Megan Rossi, Paige Schmidt, Melanie Margalis.)

Second Team: 100 back: C. Grace, Countryside; 200 free: Burns, Countryside; 200 medley relay, Countryside: C. Grace, Melanie Margalis, Paige Schmidt, Burns

Honorable Mention: Hall (50 free)
