Recipe for success:
1. Dream
2. Plan
3. Work
4. Persist
5. Refocus then go to the next level

Passionate and committed

Are you creating a positive environment in your team? Or are you one of the ones making the negative comments.

Are you a champion that gets up when you can’t?

“Our aim is not to produce champions, but to create an environment in which champions are inevitable.”

Teaching techniques:

1. Have to have demonstration
2. Watch someone doing it properly
3. Positive reinforcement…9 positives to one negative
4. Communication. Most important thing that you’ve got. Verbal and non-verbal
5. Coach needs to be in a position where they can be seen.
6. Simple concise instructions to kids. Then ask them to repeat in short words
7. Teach the kids the basics properly first. Neuromuscular pathways are formed so do it right from the start!
8. Kids are wanting to please so encourage excellence…lots of positive reinforcement.
9. Make sure you do enough land explanation and demonstration first
10. Look and strive for excellence.
11. Learn to swim is like building a house-put down the foundation first.
