Please note that swim practice for this Saturday (Feb. 2nd) will be for all groups from 8:00am - 10:00am.; dryland will be replaced with yoga from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. I am including the email message sent on 1/9 in regards to preparation for the bikram class:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead of [dryland] this Saturday, all swim groups will attend a bikram yoga class at Yogani Studios (1112 West Platt Street, 251-9668).
Class will be held from [3:00-4:30pm] but swimmers should be arrive 15 minutes earlier. The fee for the class is $10 each.
Some recommendations are below:
-Turn off your cell phone before entering the studio
-Bring one or two water bottles as well as one or two towels. Almost certainly, you will be sweating.
-Make sure to dress appropriately for yoga class. E.g., dryfit bottoms that are loose-fitting enough to do a split, but tight enough that it sticks close to your body, and tops that can be tucked in). If you have long hair, tie it back or it will fall in your face.
-You will not be wearing shoes or socks so try to not have stinky feet.
And most importantly:
-Do not eat for at least 2 hours before class, or you may regret it. Try to eat a hearty breakfast plus a snack at noon.
Thanks,
Jason
