At FL Swimming Short Course JOs, the Boys 11-12 A-team squad of Rasmus Skaerpe (Central), Austin Sellers (Westchase), Kyle Kimura (Westchase) and David Wong (Lakeland) took Gold Medal and broke the JO and State Record in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 4:21.53 and the Boys 11-12 A-team squad of Rasmus Skaerpe (Central), Jed Rodriquez (Tampa Palms), Kyle Kimura (Westchase) and David Wong (Lakeland) took another Gold Medal and smashed the JO and State Record in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:51.73.

Westchase sent 9 swimmers to one of the fastest Age Group Meets in the USA to help TBAY battle for a top 3 team finish!

The Westchase crew came away with a treasure chest full of awards. Every one of these nine swimmers had at least one top 18 swim to help lead TBAY to victory. Kyle Kimura was on four first place 11-12 Boys relays. Two of the relays broke Florida State Records. Austin Sellers joined with Kyle to help smash the 400 Medley Relay State Record! Kyle & Austin also cranked out some impressive individual efforts with several second & third place medals between the two!!! Michelle Turek swam great for our 11-12 girls, Winning the girls 50 Free & 100 Free!! Jared Young who is only 11 made finals in all his events &secured a spot on the Florida Swimming All-Star Team with a 6th place finish in the 11-12 Boys 500 Free. One the Youngest swimmers at the Whole meet Jabari Ramsey 9, finished second place in the 10 & Under Boys 50 Breast. Jocelyn Williams & Julia Cogdill rounded out the 11-12 Girls each making it to finals at one of the fastest meets in the country. Margret Shumake who just turned 13 finished 18th in the 13-14 Girls 200 Breast & JO new comer Sujay Pillia finished 13th in the 11-121 Boys 50 Breast. This was a great way to finish Short Course Yards Season by placing 5 Westchase at TBAY swimmers on the Florida Swimming All-Star Meet. Jabari Ramsey, Jared Young, Austin Sellers, Kyle Kimura & Michell e Turek will all be battling the Florida Gold Coast All Star Team in a dual meet Florida Swimming has never lost!!!
